A global engineering and environmental consultancy is looking for an experienced Contaminated Land Consultant to join their existing team in the Manchester office and be part of the Soil and Groundwater team.
1 - Devise technical solutions to soil and groundwater problems.
2 - Adhere to best practice and regulatory guidance.
3 - Be part of staff development, mentoring and training.
4 - Technical auditing of projects for method, quality and compliance.
5 - Assist with business development.
6 - Support site investigation and remediation teams.
7 - Develop human health contaminant methods.
8 - Provide support for human health risk assessment.
9 - Contribute to the development of the UK-wide Risk Assessment team.
1 - Degree educated in Geology, Environmental Science or an Engineering Discipline.
2 - MSc in Hydrogeology, Water Resources or similar discipline.
3 - Extensive Relevant Experience in the performance, analysis and interpretation of
hydrogeological testing.
4 - Experience of pumping tests, packer testing, field supervision of drilling, monitoring
well installation and soil and groundwater sampling.
5 - Relevant experience ideally should include risk assessment and/or groundwater modelling
experience.
6 - Have an understanding of contaminant behaviour or hydrochemistry.
7 - Must have experience in preparing technical reports including data analysis, calculations
and design documentation, as well as good organisational skill.
8 - Excellent verbal and written communication skills along with high level of organisation.
Minimum Level of Education - Degree in Geology, Environmental Science or similar.
Any Other Qualifications - Masters degree in Hydrogeology, water resources or similar.
