A leading, international company specialising in natural resources, environment and transport requires a Senior Ecologist to join the existing, vibrant Ecology team in Scotland. This role comes with excellent career and growth prospects.

About The Role

1 - You will be involved in a variety of projects which would include terrestrial, freshwater and marine habitats, including habitat surveys, protected species and plant identification.
2 - Projects could be with either private companies, governments, conservation agencies or developers.

About You

1 - Be degree educated in a relevant discipline.
2 - Experience of working within a consultancy as an ecologist.
3 - Able to demonstrate an understanding of the role of consultancies within the commercial sector.
4 - Ideally you should be a member of the Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management (IEEM) and be a Protected Species Licence Holder (advantageous).
5 - Experience in the following would be beneficial; River Corridor Surveys, Environmental Impact Assessment, Assessments/Environmental Statements.
6 - Phase II Habitat surveys.
7 - National Vegetation Classification (NVC).
8 - Assessment methodologies such as IEEM, EcIA, DMRB, WebTag, etc.

Minimum Level of Education - Degree educated in a relevant discipline.
Any Other Qualifications - Member of the IEEM and/or Protected Species Licence Holder.
