Job Description

The company provides management, commercial and engineering expertise to clients in the public sector and regulated industries. It is the force behind partnerships that seek to transform the way in which public services are delivered to society and it has taken the lead in markets that range from highway network management, rail engineering and local authority real-estate management, through to water engineering and asset delivery, education, business process outsourcing, project management and management consultancy.

Their technical and commercial know-how enables them to handle long-term managed contracts, to work in partnership on PPP or PFI deals, handle business process outsourcing, deliver services via pre-qualified Framework Agreements, or provide targeted project management and consultancy solutions. It helps a wide range of public sector bodies, commercial clients and those in the regulated sector involved with water, waste, gas and environment, to deliver better service and value to their customers.

Continued growth in the Utilities sector has seen the company open and build new offices with specialist skills in each office. The environment team has extensive experience in remediating brownfield land and it is able to turn sites viewed as potential liabilities into commercial assets through a co-ordinated approach involving desk studies, environmental assessment and remediation strategy & design.

In order to continue this success, the company is now looking to recruit a new Director who will be responsible for growing the midlands and the south region. Key aspects of this role are the development of new business and relationships from existing and new clients; delivering a strong financial performance from the offices; managing, mentoring and developing the existing teams as well as providing technical and operational advice to clients.

The successful candidate will already have gained a thorough understanding of the environmental sector with an emphasis on contaminated land and have demonstrated the ability to win business and develop relationships with a broad range of public and private sector clients. In return the company has demonstrated a track record of promoting ambitious employees into increasingly responsible roles.
