We have an opportunity for an Environmental Scientist / Engineer to join our busy team in Sittingbourne to provide maternity cover.
Reporting and working within a Project Team, candidates will be required to undertake Phase I and Phase II site investigations, carry out sampling & soil logging, prepare & send samples to accredited laboratories, operate scientific equipment, carry out short & long-term monitoring of groundwater, assist with the organisation of projects and prepare reports & advise on the findings to the client and other stakeholders, whilst ensuring compliance with health & safety.
The successful candidate will be have a flexible attitude to work and posses the enthusiasm and drive to deliver the requirements of this role. The ability to work as an effective member of a team and on your own initiative will be essential, along with excellent communication, organisational and problem solving skills.
A full UK/EC driving licence is essential.
We would expect candidates to either be a recent graduate with a strong relevant qualification or have some work experience in the contaminated land sector.
