A successful and expanding national consultancy and contractor specialising in environmental and geotechnical engineering is looking to recruit an experienced Geotechnical Engineer to join their existing team in the Aberdeen office.
1 - You will be a key part of a busy geotechnical team, providing advice and services to clients.
2 - Provide technical advice in the design, management and reporting of site investigations.
3 - Be heavily involved in design and interpretive report writing.
4 - Research and report on desk study searches.
5 - Design and supervision of geotechnical and geo-environmental site investigations
6 - Management and interpretation of geotechnical and geo-environmental data.
7 - Carry out geotechnical design calculations.
8 - Assess the cost implications to project budgets and time incurred in activities.
9 - Work towards achieving Chartered Professional status.
1 - First degree in Civil Engineering or Geology.
2 - Ideally a further degree in Geotechnical Engineering or similar.
3 - Proven track record in geotechnical design and report writing.
4 - Knowledge of geotechnical software.
5 - Familiar with UK construction practice.
6 - A full UK driving license is essential.
7 - Excellent verbal and written reasoning and communication skills.
8 - Ability to work on own initiative and manage own time.
Minimum Level of Education - Degree in civil engineering or geology.
Any Other Qualifications - Further geotechnical degree ideal.
