The purpose of your role as Senior Geotechnical Engineer is to lead & develop teams of Engineers, Graduates and Technicians in preparing geotechnical design solutions for major civil engineering structures for highway and railway schemes at preliminary, tender, and detailed design stages of the project
Experience of a Senior Geotechnical Engineer
1 - At least 5 yrs relevant experience with contractor or consultant
2 - Understanding of geotechnical design principles
3 - Sound capability in all major geotechnical analysis packages
4 - Working with contractors on major Design and Build projects
5 - Eurocodes and other international design standards
Qualifications of a Senior Geotechnical Engineer
1 - Civil Engineering related Degree, BEng level minimum
2 - Chartered or working towards chartership
3 - Clean UK driving licence
Skills of a Senior Geotechnical Engineer
1 - Proficient in discussing technical issues in non-technical language
2 - Good team player in a multi-disciplinary environment
3 - Able to work on own initiative and under pressure when necessary
4 - Willing to learn and develop
5 - Accurate
6 - Attention to detail
7 - Financially aware
8 - Good communicator at all levels, verbally and written
